More than any other team in the league, with the probable exception of the archrival Toledo Rockets, I hate it when the Falcons lose to Akron. The Zips historically have the biggest jerkoff in the league on their roster. None of them especially stood out this afternoon, but that didn't make the loss any easier to take. This game came down, mostly, to BG's inability to consistently defend an Akron team that was just quicker on the perimeter. That could have been offset if the Falcons had been able to counter with some scores of their own, but they hit a cold spell in the second half, and that was the ball game. BG went from being up by 1 to being down by 21, and the shots weren't falling well enough for a comeback. Still, they continued to scrap and play hard, and that's always good to see.
